Gladys I. Cavitt

Gladys Irene Cavitt died peacefully at the age of 95, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family at Hope Hospice on September 22, 2022.
She was born July 29, 1927, in Elgin, IL but called Southwest Florida home for more than 30 years. Gladys married Vern Cavitt and together they had 3 children: Colin Cavitt (deceased), Kerry Cavitt, and Kelly Cavitt (deceased). She was the proud Grandma of 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and loving aunt to several nieces and nephews.
Gladys, always known for her classy looks and style, worked as a beautician at the Pink Poodle, which she owned with her husband until they retired and moved to Florida. She loved to travel and spent many vacations in the Cayman Islands scuba diving and soaking up the sun. She enjoyed boating, fishing and shelling. She had a passion for food, loved being in the kitchen and whipping up family meals and treats to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Gladys is survived by her son Kerry Cavitt of Cape Coral FL, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Her sense of humor, sassy personality and giving nature will always be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
