Andrew William Berry

July 29, 1982 ~ September 14, 2021 (age 39) 39 Years Old

Tribute

Andrew William Berry, age 39 of Sanibel, FL., was our beloved son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, fiancé, and lifelong friend to many. He was an artist, a musician, an author, and Amazon Reseller. He was always a free spirit that traveled the country extensively. He passed away Sept 14, 2021, at his home, asleep in his bed. Asking how can be answered with “What Does it Matter”. Nothing can ever bring him back. He is so loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Andrew was born Jul 29, 1982 in Norfolk, NE. He attended San Jose State University in CA. While in college, he received numerous honors and was on the dean’s list. He had a beautiful and creative mind.

Dave and I found, during this terribly sad and difficult time that Andrew deeply touched and stayed in people’s hearts and that makes us so truly grateful and proud. We have been contacted by his friends from all over the world and they all say the same kind, loving words.

You know parents always think their children are the best, in Andy’s case, I believe with his close friends and family members, he was their beacon and their light and their true friend forever. He made a deep abiding impact in people’s hearts with his pure kindness and his soulfulness found a place in their hearts and lived there forever.
Dave and I have always said Andy was so soulful and his heart was filled with such goodness and deep kindness to everyone around him, especially to those he loved.

I would be with him somewhere and he might have a dollar in his pocket in change and he would give it to a homeless person. Or he would see a young mom struggling with packages and carrying a baby and he’d walk over with his kind smile and help her out.

He felt so much and so deeply, I think sometimes that was his gift from God and his burden to bear. We will always love, with all our hearts, that special light of ours, our son, Andrew William Berry.

Please direct all memorials and gifts to this endeavor to build a fund for his two daughters.

From Jennifer and Brian Hrabik and Family:
These are the hardest words I’ve ever had to write. How can I possibly express the heartache we’re all feeling? Life has felt like a blur since he left us.
Listening to him play his guitar, loving every beautiful piece of jewelry he made, and wondering what creative masterpiece he was going to make next are just a few of the things we will miss. Andy was so creative and had such a beautiful soul. He wanted his thoughts, talents, and experiences to help others.
His biggest loves and his greatest masterpieces are his girls, Annabel, and Madalyn. We will forever be grateful to have these two in our lives.
Now I find myself staring at the photo in the art piece he made for me wondering what he was thinking as he sat outside at his typewriter, a lamp balanced on the edge of the desk, making an imperfect street corner seem like the most perfect place in the world.
We love you so much Andy! You will be incredibly missed.

From Jerad ad Melinda Berry and Family:
Andrew William Berry – son, father, brother, uncle, friend, creative force, a gentle soul – always loving no matter who you were in his life. An early memory is you as a baby sucking on Grandma Iny’s chin. You are with her and Grandma Jan now, in their loving arms. Oldest brother Jerad remembers skateboarding during lightning storms, both of you calling it God grinding on His board, creating lightning and thunder. You can create that for us now in heaven.

Parents, Dave, and Deb, and all your siblings – Jenny, Brian, Jerad, Melinda, Aaron and Brianna – have presents, beautiful handmade gifts and jewelry we will cherish forever. We will keep you alive in our hearts and minds. We promise to and protect your legacy – your legacy who are your two precious daughters – Annabel and Madalyn. We are grateful for the love you found in the end with Christie. We will bond together to protect and be there for them. We love you, miss you deeply, and our memories of you will be cherished forever.

From Aaron and Brianna Berry and Family:
Andrew Berry: Son; Brother; Father; Entrepreneur; Author; Compassionate; Loving; Thoughtful; Kind.  These are but a few words that sum up a lifetime of a person larger than life - carving out a spot in everyone's heart that had the pleasure of knowing him.  He will be eternally remembered and sorely missed as he was an amazing big (little) brother, in-law, and uncle whom my entire family admired and loved dearly.  May he forever rest in peace knowing just how much he was truly loved and adored by all.

From Christie Shiley, Fiancée:
He is my best friend and the love of my life. We loved with a love that was more than love. A love far wiser than our years. I was his Sun, and he was my Moon. He gave me the greatest gift in the world, baby Madalyn.
