Managing Partner/Funeral Director in ChargeTim has been a resident of Cape Coral the past 47 years. He has been serving client families at the funeral home for over 30 years. Tim graduated from Edison Community College, then earned his state funeral director and embalmers license from Miami-Dade School of Mortuary Science in 1986. Tim is a member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He is a past president of Cape Coral Rotary Club and Jaycees. Tim currently serves on the board of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce, Florida Funeral Directors & Cemetery assoc., and is a member of the Florida Emergency Mortuary Response Team.
Funeral DirectorOriginally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Ohio State University in 2002. During her college career, she volunteered at the OSU Medical Center, where she assisted families who were waiting for loved ones in the intensive care unit. This experience proved to be very meaningful and inspired Rachel to continue working with families who were faced with the death of a loved one. She began her career as an advanced funeral planning family counselor in Ohio, before relocating to South West Florida to complete her Degree in Mortuary Science at St. Petersburg College. In 2008, Rachel became fully licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer and has worked with associate funeral homes in Naples, Florida. She has ultimately made her home in Cape Coral, where she enjoys time with many great friends and family. Rachel specializes in planning customized Life Celebration Events and loves telling the personal story of every family that she serves.
Ken has been in the Funeral Business since he was 17 years old. He graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute in New York in 1995 with a degree in mortuary science. Ken worked as a funeral director/embalmer in New York City for 17 years where he perfected his trade. Ken moved his family to Lee County in 2011.
Funeral DirectorAlbert B. Haab started his career in Funeral Service in 1968 in Michigan. He graduated from Wayne State University Department of Mortuary Science in Detroit, Michigan, after which he started his own trade embalming service. After marrying his wife Kathy in 1977, in 1980 Kathy and Al relocated to Fort Myers, Florida, where he started working with Leo Engelhardt Funeral Home on McGregor Blvd. In 1986, the firms of Harvey and Engelhardt merged and became Harvey Engelhardt Metz. Al remained there until 1989, when he joined Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and remained there for 18 years. From 2007 until 2014, he was at Hodges Funeral Home. After semi-retiring, Al returned to Harvey-Engelhardt, where he is currently employed. He is very proficient in embalming procedures and is also a licensed Funeral Director. Al is married to Kathy, a registered nurse at Lee Health, and together they have two boys, Brandon and Spencer.
AmbassadorOriginally from Connecticut, Keith has been a resident of Cape Coral the past 10 years. Before retirement, Keith worked as a State Trooper and Fireman. He served his country honorably with the U.S. Army. Keith has worked for the funeral home the past 12 years as a funeral assistant. He enjoys cruising the area on his Harley and taking his grandchildren to Disney World.
Administrative AssistantOriginally from Burlington, New Jersey, Linda moved to Southwest Florida in 2002 to assume the position of administrative assistant to the funeral director and office manager of our Cape Coral location. While in New Jersey, she had previously held the position of manager of the Market Research and Business Development departments of a trucking company.
AdministrationSharon is a secretary in our Cape Coral office. She came to us following many years of experience in funeral service in Connecticut. Before retiring to Cape Coral, Sharon spent her entire life in Connecticut, where she graduated from the University of Connecticut and Southern Connecticut State University.
Administrative Assistant to the DirectorsSharon was originally a snowbird from Marblehead, Ohio until she became a permanent resident of Cape Coral, Florida in 2000. Prior to joining the funeral home, she worked for Comcast Cable in the finance department for 12 years. Sharon enjoys all types of sports and spending time with family and friends and is involved with various clubs.
Originally from Kings Park, New York, Maggie moved to Cape Coral in 1978. Before retirement, she worked as an elementary teacher and assistant principal for the School District of Lee County. Maggie enjoys traveling to Ireland and spending time with her family and friends.
Administrative SpecialistOriginally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Faye moved to Southwest Florida after her sons went off to college. She took the position of administrative specialist to the funeral director and office manager of our Cape Coral location. While in Milwaukee, she had previously held the position of 911 dispatcher. CSR in the Heating and Air conditioning services and the Collision Industry.
Funeral Direct Apprentice
Cremation SpecialistSteve comes to us from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He previously worked in the funeral business in the summer months during the past 30 years while during the winter months, Steve has worked all levels of hockey at 2300-plus games, including the National Hockey League, with the latest team being the St. Louis Blues. After making Florida his home 2 ½ years ago, he joined the Carriage team and completed his certification for Crematory Operator and is now working towards his Embalmer Apprentice with the State of Florida. Steve has been married to his wife Barbara, a school teacher for Lee County School System, for 27 years and has raised two boys, Adam and Cory.
David Slothower has been assisting our Fuller Metz families during their loss of a loved one for the past 12 years. He and his wife, Maureen, have been residents of Cape Coral for over 20 years. After 35 years of working at Sears where he held several national executive positions. He now devotes his time and energy to assisting our families during their time of need.
Haleigh, a Senior at Ida Baker High School, works as a student intern. She is responsible for creating personalized family videos along with funeral stationery. She is a member of the Ida Baker High ladies soccer team and serves as Senior class President.
